WE DID IT! We were married on Saturday morning – a gorgeous Gainesville, Florida day in the King family home’s lovely backyard. The setting was perfect as was the ceremony officiated by Reverend Andy Bachman, Kathryn’s high school youth minister.

Kathryn was attended by her sisters Ashlyn King (Matron of Honor) and Christina King (Maid of Honor) and bridesmaid, Lakendra Rosier, a high school friend.

Jacob’s attendants included “best people” Micah Rae (brother) and Leena Rae (sister), and groomsmen Carson Bird, his friend since age two, and Daniel Sierra, father escorting the 20 month old flower-girl, Paloma Sierra-King.

Highlights of the small reception with local family and close friends, included a well-polished First Dance (“Amazed” by Lonestar) and Father/Daughter Dance (“All You Need Is Love” by the Beatles.) Meaningful toasts were offered by Matron of Honor, Ashlyn King; Father of the Bride, John King; and Carson Bird, Jacob’s longtime friend.

Although we missed our family and friends that were not able to share our joy on that special day, it more than met Kathryn’s hope for a simple, traditional and elegant wedding celebration.

We look forward to planning a fete when the time is right that can include you!
